Panda Teaching # 3 You don’t need to have perfect set of teeth to smile
People around me have been nagging me to get braces for more than ten years. It’s all because of my crooked teeth.
I can say it’s all my mom’s fault. But I don’t blame her. My mom said that I was a very quiet baby. She said, she didn’t have to give me pacifier or milk or anything else to keep me quiet — as long as I had my thumb inside my mouth. And so until I was in sixth grade, I had my thumb stuck to my mouth every night (and every time I felt like it). When I reached high school, I finally learned to stop myself (because one night, my aunt squeezed chili on my thumb while I was sleeping, and so when I put it in my mouth… well, you get the picture).
So the result of all this thumb sucking was crooked teeth. In any of my pictures until high school, you will never EVER see teeth every time I smiled. I was more than ashamed, I felt fugly (especially when your siblings had a perfect set of teeth that could fit in a toothpaste commercial).
So people thought, what a sad kid. She’s quiet and lonely and couldn’t even smile properly.
But you know what, contrary to what the pictures showed, I was a very giddy kid who displayed a complete set of whites every time I laughed out loud. (And how I laughed out loud…) Until I didn’t care anymore if my teeth showed every time I smiled.
So one time, a friend took a picture of me smiling with my teeth showing without me knowing. When I saw it, I thought I looked cute. (Hihihi. Whaat?) And the smile… wow, it looked sincere. Unlike the ones without teeth… it kinda looked repressed. Now, I’m not saying everyone should smile with their teeth out. I’m just saying, I wish I had smiled more sincerely before. All those wasted pictures…
Then one day, everyone just stopped pestering me to get braces. I didn’t know exactly when or how it exactly happened, they just stopped. Maybe because they think I look happy already? Now they’re saying, my eyes turn to two curved lines everytime I smiled — like some old chinese doll. Frankly, I dont frigging care. Let them say anything they want, and I’ll just smile as much as I want.
So I realized, I don’t need to have a perfect set of teeth to smile. And that everyone needs to stop pestering other people and just enjoy themselves. I wish I could explain a deeper meaning to this — coz I know that there is. Maybe I should just say:
be sincere
don’t listen to mean people
no matter how you look, you’re perfect the way you are
but the panda will tell it exactly how it is: you don’t need to have a perfect set of teeth to smile. coz really, you’re the only person who gives a damn about it.

Panda Teaching #2: How to Scurry Away Properly
The panda just had a really interesting morning conversation with the balowee and then realized that “early morning crazy” is a symptom of many more brain sicknesses to come.
yaypanda: i am OIC today in the warehouse coz all the bosses are being bosses sumwer else. its making me feel evil and powerful yet kind to my underlings
balowee: waaaaw
balowee: you bigtiem
balowee: you should go, “i dont like you, go away”
balowee: “you! make me coffee. it should taste starbucks-y”
yaypanda: they ask me if i want coffee, i say i don’t drink coffee. so you make me chocolate drink. he says we have no chocolate drink. and i give him the evil eye
balowee: hahaha
balowee: and then he cowers to one corner in fright
yaypanda: yes yes he scurries. SCURRY in fright. (i instruct him to do dat)
balowee: hahahaha
balowee: there is an exact way of doing so
balowee: yes yes
yaypanda: is the essence of being boss
balowee: yeah
yaypanda: so many underlings, so little time to bully them
balowee: is so frustrating when a person cant scurry away properly

balowee: then you scurry away in the proper way
The panda smiles as he realizes that balowee is a soul mate in his aim to perfect the craft of scurrying away properly.
Panda got this yummy-tofu-savings-box from a street shop in singapore. Still doesn’t have the heart to rip it open.
